• Are there any extra precautions put in place because of COVID-19?

    Our processes and services have been adapted and continue to evolve in order to ensure safety for our team and our guests.

  • Are you pet friendly?

    No, we have a strict no pet policy on the property. Wildlife wanders through our property often. For the safety of the wildlife, your pet and all our guests and employees no pets will be permitted on the property.

  • Do you have a fire pit or BBQ?

    Yes we have a central fire pit on the property, please note the fire pit does not run every day. Please enquire with the front desk about the times the fire pit is running during your stay. The fire pit will not be running during a fire ban in Jasper National Park. We do not have any BBQ's on property however guests are welcome to bring their own small propane BBQ's

  • Do you have a restaurant on site?

    Yes, the Elk Village Restaurant is in the main building right beside the office. Please contact the restaurant for any questions you may have by email at Restaurant@jasperhouse.com or by phone at 780-852-3113. Please note that they are closed for the winter season and may take some time to respond if contacted during the off season.

  • How far is your location from the town of Jasper?

    We are located three kilometers south of the town of Jasper on Highway 93. We are across the highway from the Whistlers campground and just north of Wapiti campground.

  • Are there any extra precautions put in place because of Covid-19?

    Our practices and precautions continue to evolve as federal and provincial requirements change. Please contact us directly for our most recent practices.

  • Is parking extra?

    Each room/suite reservation has one parking spot for a regular sized passenger vehicle. Our property is not equipped to handle parking for buses, trailers, RV’s or large vehicles. Additional vehicles and large vehicles will be required to park in the town of Jasper's assigned parking lots which is 3.5 kms away from the property.

  • Where are the nearest airports?

    The two closest airports to Jasper would be the Edmonton International Airport located 404 kms / three hour and 53-minute drive from our location or the Calgary International Airport located 528 kms / five hours and 37-minute drive from our location.

  • Is there a shuttle to Jasper?

    Unfortunately, not. Jasper would be around a 45-minute walk, a 15-minute bike ride or a 5-minute drive from our property. Taxi’s are available in Jasper at either Caribou Cabs 780-931-2334 or Mountain Express 780-852-4555.

  • How much are the taxes at Jasper House Bungalows?

    5 % G.S.T and 4 % Tourism Levy which is more than 2% less taxes charged within the town of Jasper.

  • I made a reservation but did not receive any confirmation. What should I do?

    If you have not received an email from us previously, most likely the confirmation will be in the junk or spam folder. If it is not received within 24 hours, please contact us at 780-852-4535 or at frontdesk@jasperhouse.com.

  • Do you require a deposit?

    Yes, when the reservation is made, we will process the first night charge with taxes on the credit card provided to hold your reservation.

  • Do you accept Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit?

    Unfortunately, we are unable to process payments with these types of cards. We do require a valid Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover card to make a reservation.

  • Do you have a pool or hot tub?

    Sorry, we do not have a pool or hot tub on the property.

  • How do I pay for our reservation?

    A one-night deposit is taken with the credit card used to make the reservation. The remainder will be processed at check in.

  • How do I cancel my reservation?

    By calling us at 1-780-852-4535 or emailing us at frontdesk@jasperhouse.com. You will receive a cancellation number once your reservation has been cancelled. If a cancellation number is not received please contact us. Every cancellation is assigned a cancellation number. Without this number the reservation is still valid.

  • Can I change my reservation dates and room type?

    Yes, you can if we have the availability. This must be processed prior to the seven-day cancellation policy. Failure to do so, will result in in a charge.

  • When is your check in and out times?

    Our check in times are 4 pm or later and check out must be completed prior to 11 am.

  • Can I have an early check in?

    With our current Covid-19 cleaning process this is very difficult to have the suite/room ready prior. Early check ins will only be permitted if it has already been approved in advance. Charges may apply.

  • Do you rent bungalows for monthly or for long-term stays?

    No, we do not. We can rent bungalows out on a weekly basis. After a seven consecutive night stay you will receive your eighth night free. Payment must be made in advance.

  • Is the Hotel and Restaurant open year-round?

    We are a seasonal property open from mid May to Mid October (weather permitting). The Elk Village restaurant opens later than us and closes before we do. Please contact Elk Village Restaurant for more details 1.780.852.3113 or at restaurant@jasperhouse.com

  • Can someone else check in for me?

    If another individual would like to check in prior to the individual who made the reservation, please contact the hotel in advance to plan accordingly. Keys will only be given to the individual the reservation is under as we require ID and credit card on arrival and will not be given out to anyone else without prior consent.

  • Can we add a bed or cot to our room?

    Due to the size and dimension of the suite we are unable to accommodate extra beds or cots.

  • Is there cell service?

    This would entirely depend on your provider. We do have tower coverage to the following Canadian providers Bell, Telus, Rogers and their partners. Check with your provider prior to arrival to be certain.

  • Is there WIFI?

    Yes, we have WIFI accessible to all corners of the property. Please note this is a satellite service, which can become slower when there is a storm or heavy cloud coverage. It is good for accessing emails texting etc, and not great for streaming or downloading.

  • Are playpens and cribs available for small children?

    Yes, we do have a couple playpens available on a first come first served basis. We do not have any cribs. Please note they may not be available due to the pandemic and the precautions we are required to take.

  • Do you have a restaurant? Is breakfast included?

    We do have a restaurant onsite The Elk Village Restaurant. It is open for breakfast and dinner. Please contact by email at restaurant@jasperhouse.com or by phone at 1.780.852.3113. Breakfast is not included in the room rate and can be purchased separately.

  • When the office is closed who is the Emergency Contact?

    In the event of an emergency, a staff member is available. We will have the emergency contact instructions listed to the left of the office doors once the office closes. The instructions will consist of a phone number to call in case of emergency

  • What facilities are available for guests to use at the property?

    Laundry facilities are open during office hours. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic all public laundry facilities have been closed until further notice. We have the elk village restaurant onsite. Please contact them by phone at 780-852-3133 or by email at restaurant@jasperhouse.com for menu, hours of operation and allergy requests.

  • Do you allow smoking on the property?

    Our property is 100% non-smoking other than our three gazebos located around the property. Failure to follow the smoking policy can result in a fine or eviction.

  • Air conditioning and heat

    All our guest rooms have controlled heat with no air conditioning; as Jasper does not have many hot days when air conditioning is required but does tend to cool down in the evenings. Each room is provided with an oscillating fan.
